VinFast Auto India is making plans to expand its business portfolio in India. According to the report, the Vietnamese automaker has finally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Castrol India Limited to provide reliable and accessible after-sales support for its EV customers across the nation. This business initiative reinforces VinFast’s long-term commitment to building a trusted service ecosystem for Indian customers.
This collaboration will play a significant role in providing seamless after-sales services across the nation. VinFast customers will experience transparency in the servicing of the car through Castrol’s extensive Castrol Auto Service (CAS) network, which spans over 750 workshops across 300 cities. These CAS-integrated outlets will be transformed into dedicated VinFast-branded service bays. The organization will provide certified EV technicians and genuine VinFast original parts for the Indian customers.
Expanding After-Sales Support Nationwide
According to the signed MoU, Castrol India will provide a well-developed, structured service network and channels dedicated to VinFast cars for after-sales services. This will be beneficial for the customers to have easy access to a specialized service center. With developed infrastructure, the automotive brand VinFast will provide technical support through service manuals, diagnostic tools, technician training, and warranty management processes.
On the other hand, Castrol will uphold workshop infrastructure and capability requirements to maintain consistent service quality across all locations. This comprehensive approach aims to maintain transparency and consistency at every customer touchpoint, enhancing confidence in the VinFast brand. No matter where they are, customers will benefit from digitally integrated workshop systems and sophisticated service protocols that guarantee dependability and convenience.
From the Director’s Desk
Speaking about the partnership deal, Mr. Pham Sanh Cahu, CEO of VinFast India, said, "For VinFast, India represents not just a new market but also a long-term commitment to building an inclusive EV design ecosystem. Reliable and accessible after-sales service care is the main focus of the vision. Our collaboration with Castrol India will ensure that customers have access to trusted, high-quality services in India. This initiative also aligns with both companies’ commitment to supporting India’s transition towards sustainable mobility.”
VinFast's Growing Presence in India
VinFast has been actively strengthening its EV market presence in India with substantial investments, such as the launch of its first overseas assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Under this facility, the brand will create over 150,000 jobs for the people of India. The company has also partnered with dealer groups to establish 35 dealerships across 27 cities by the end of 2025.
Shared Vision on Sustainable Mobility
The mutual partnership between VinFast and Castrol India shares a commitment to supporting India’s transition to sustainable electric mobility. By combining VinFast’s innovative vehicle technology with Castrol’s extensive after-sales service expertise, they intend to elevate service standards through advanced diagnostics, genuine parts, and digitally driven support solutions.
Conclusion
