Volvo India has announced the launch of XC90 Facelift Model in March. In the last 10 years it will be the second major upgrade for this SUV. If we talk about the updates it will come up with a redesigned grille with diagonal slats. On top of that there is an updated T-shaped LED daytime running lights and a front bumper with vertical air vents.
And there is no major update in the side profile but new alloy wheels have been added. At the rear the LED taillights have been revised.
Inside the SUV you get the same seven-seater layout but this time you will not get 9-inch infotainment screen but a larger 11.2-inch system with vibrant display. To improve user interface climate controls are now vertical buttons below the screen and also it has shortcut for apps and settings. There are some cool features that like Frequency Selective Damping for smoother ride, there is now better sound proofing and extra storage space.
A 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system will power the XC90 in India. Although its availability in India has not yet been announced, a plug-in hybrid version with an 18.8 kWh battery gives up to 69 km of electric-only range globally. Volvo wants to maintain the XC90's competitiveness against rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
