The Wuling Starlight 560, a new SUV, has been spotted multiple times in test mule form and patent images. This model is set to launch in India under the MG brand. The Starlight 560 features a boxy design and dimensions that measure 4.75 metres in length, 1.85 metres in width, and 1.75 metres in height. These measurements place it among the larger SUVs in its segment.

The Starlight 560 comes equipped with a full-LED lighting setup, roof rails, and a skid plate. It rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels fitted with 215/55 section tyres. The rear design includes a split tail lamp arrangement and a rear skid plate, enhancing its rugged appearance.
Inside, the SUV offers a two-spoke steering wheel and a 3.5-inch instrument cluster. The center console features a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless connectivity options. Leatherette upholstery is used throughout the cabin, aiming to provide a premium feel for occupants.
Powertrain Options and Specifications
The Starlight 560 will offer several powertrain choices. The first is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 174.2 bhp. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The manual version delivers 260 Nm of torque, while the CVT variant offers 290 Nm.
Another option is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine combined with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system. This setup delivers 194.3 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. There is also a fully electric version, which produces 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The electric variant uses a 56.7 kWh battery pack, matching the setup found in another model from the brand.
Among the four available configurations, only the CVT-equipped version includes a spare wheel. All versions of the Starlight 560 use a front-wheel-drive layout.
India Launch and Market Position
The Wuling Starlight 560 will be introduced in India as an MG-branded SUV. Its size, features, and multiple powertrain options are expected to position it competitively in the Indian SUV market. The repeated sightings of test mules and patent filings indicate that the launch is progressing as planned.
