Yamaha Motors India has finally lifted the curtain on its much-anticipated motorcycle, the XSR 155. The all-new Yamaha XSR 155 has finally hit the Indian market, blending vintage charm with modern engineering in a package that Yamaha XSR 155 Unveiled in India at Rs 1.49 Lakh. This neo-retro motorcycle combines Yamaha's proven performance credentials with a design that signifies classic motorcycling aesthetics while offering subtle modernity.
The XSR 155 is built on the underpinnings of the R15 V4 platform, providing confidence-inspiring performance wrapped in distinctive styling. For the 2025 iteration, the XSR 155 undercuts the MT-15 by Rs 5,000 and will be positioned between the R15 and the MT-15 in India. Here’s everything you need to know about the all-new Yamaha XSR 155.

Talking about its overall design, the Yamaha XSR 155 stands out with its round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and minimalist LCD console that perfectly defines classic looks with contemporary features. The bike’s upright seating position ensures rider comfort, ideal for city commutes and weekend rides. The Japanese brand also offers two unique accessory kits—scrambler and café racer. This will allow customization to reflect individual rider styles, enhancing its appeal among the youth and retro enthusiasts.
The XSR 155 is powered by a 155 cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, SOHC, single-cylinder engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This engine delivers a robust 18.4 HP of power and 14.2 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch configuration.
The chassis is built around Yamaha’s proven Deltabox frame, complemented by upside-down front forks, an aluminum swingarm, and a linked-type monocross rear suspension, ensuring a balanced ride with excellent handling dynamics.

In terms of features, the motorcycle comes with dual-channel ABS and traction control as standard. It also sports tubeless tyres on 17-inch alloy wheels and a digital instrument cluster displaying speed, tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, and other essential information for a connected riding experience. While a kerb weight of just 137 kg adds to its nimble character.
