Yamaha has introduced an exciting addition to its lineup with the debut of the R15M Carbon Edition at the ongoing 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo.This variant marks Yamaha's foray into the realm of carbon-fiber aesthetics, presenting enthusiasts with a visually captivating option that combines style with mechanical prowess.

Design 

The allure of the Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition lies in its captivating design, accentuated by the extensive use of faux carbon-fiber finish across the motorcycle. The front fairing, exuding a sense of aggression, is adorned with the carbon-fiber treatment, further enhanced by a lustrous gloss finish. This theme extends seamlessly to the tail section, creating a cohesive visual identity. Notably, Yamaha has presented the seats with a distinctive rough texture, finely crafted to reflect the allure of carbon fiber.

Features and Specs

  • While the R15M Carbon Edition flaunts a striking exterior, its mechanical prowess remains uncompromised. Powering this bike is a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering a commanding 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm of torque. 
  • Coupled with a responsive six-speed gearbox, the engine is nestled within a robust Deltabox frame, supported by USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. 
  • The braking prowess remains unchanged with a 282mm front disc and a 220mm rear unit, mounted on 17-inch alloys.
  • Incorporating cutting-edge technology, the R15M Carbon Edition features a TFT screen with seamless smartphone connectivity, facilitating a seamless integration of essential functionalities. 
  • Offering day and night modes, along with vital readouts such as speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level, and gear position indicator, the bike ensures riders stay informed and connected on every journey.

Launch Expectations

While Yamaha India has yet to announce the launch details, speculation suggests an imminent release in the coming weeks. The expected price range for the new R15M Carbon Edition can fall between Rs 2.2 Lakh and Rs 2.5 Lakh.
