Yamaha has initiated a massive recall of approximately 300,000 units of its 125cc scooters, citing concerns over the functionality of the brake lever. The recall, effective immediately, targets scooters manufactured between January 1, 2022, and January 4, 2024.

Scope of Recall

The affected 125 cc models include the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, specifically those produced after January 2022. According to Yamaha, the recall aims to address potential issues with the brake lever function in select units of these popular scooter models.

Recall Process

Safety remains the top priority for Yamaha, and the company assures customers that replacements will be provided free of charge. To facilitate the recall process, customers are encouraged to verify their eligibility by visiting the Service section of the India Yamaha Motor website. 

By navigating to the 'SC 125 Voluntary Recall' page and entering their Chassis No. details, customers can access information on the next steps.
