Opel, a German firm that was established in 1862, joined General Motors in 1929 and then Stellantis in 2021. In 2006, it left the Indian market and was replaced by Chevrolet. It was well-known for vehicles like the Opel Astra and Corsa.
Because of its costly repairs and dependability problems, which harmed the brand's reputation, it was abandoned. GM left these locations in 2017 as a result of a string of mistakes. Due to a number of reasons, including a decline in sales and heightened competition, General Motors also departed India in 2017.
