SsangYong brand Founded in South Korea in 1954, known for their tough SUVs and utility vehicles. Some of the popular models include the SsangYong Rexton, Tivoli, and Korando. The company was acquired by Mahindra & Mahindra in 2010 and focused on establishing their brand around the globe. In 2018 the brand stopped their operations in India after launching only single car Rexton. Later Mahindra backed out and sold the majority of the stakes in 2022, after that it was acquired by KGM in 2023.
