Latest Update: When launched sometime around 2025 or 2026, Tata Sierra will become the flagship and the most expensive vehicle ever from the house of Tata. Moreover, rumors suggest that it might come with a driving range of 550 to 650 km. Said to be based on the the second gen EV platform of Tata, Sierra might also see an ICE version in the future.
Design & Exterior
Tata Motors is likely to introduce several new design elements with the Sierra. Some of these design elements include a 19 inch or even larger aero efficient alloys, flush type retractable door handles, glowing Tata logo in the front grille and rear boot lid, a full glass roof for the second row, etc.
Battery & Motor
With Sierra, Tata might offer a driving range of 600+ km, making it suitable for long intercity travels and outdoor adventures. And that's extremely important because Tata plans to offer the Sierra with an all wheel drive setup, comprising of dual motor setup. Thus each axle will have a motor powering the 2 wheels.
Segment & Rivals
Tata Sierra will be the flagship SUV from Tata Motors. It will sit above the upcoming Harrier EV, thus in an approx. price range of Rs 30 to 40 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it a direct rival to EVs like Volvo XC40 Recharge, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Atto 3, etc.
