2024 BMW M340i Launched at Rs 74.9 Lakh: Updates, Price, and Features

BMW India has unveiled the updated 2024 M340i performance sedan, now priced at Rs 74.9 lakh, marking a Rs 2 lakh increase from the previous price of Rs 72.9 lakh. The updates bring enhanced technology, new colour options, and a more refined interior. Bookings for the locally assembled M340i can be made at BMW dealerships and on their official website starting today.

New Colour Options

BMW has added two fresh colour options to the M340i lineup: Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red. These join the existing shades of Dravit Grey and Black Sapphire, offering buyers a total of four colour choices.

Key Updates for the 2024 BMW M340i

The most notable update to the M340i is the inclusion of adaptive suspension as standard. This upgrade ensures a more dynamic and comfortable driving experience, adapting to road conditions for improved handling.

Performance and Engine

The 2024 M340i retains its impressive 374hp, 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assist. The sedan continues to be one of the quickest cars produced in India, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

Interior Updates: New AC Vents and Infotainment System

On the inside, the M340i now boasts new Vernasca leather seat covers with M stitching. The cabin also features an updated ‘Widescreen Curved Display,’ combining a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster running on the latest 8.5 operating system. Additionally, the AC vents have been redesigned, with new knobs for easier adjustments.

Price and Rivals

With the new updates, the BMW M340i now costs Rs 74.9 lakh, an increase of Rs 2 lakh. In the Indian market, it competes with the Mercedes-AMG C 43, priced at Rs 98.25 lakh, and the Audi S5, which is priced between Rs 77.32 lakh and Rs 83.6 lakh.
