Exterior and Design Updates

The facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 retains its familiar profile but introduces several subtle updates. At the front, the vehicle receives a revised bumper with a wider air intake and a new V-shaped garnish. The rear bumper has also been redesigned. The rear spoiler is now 50 mm longer, which aims to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The model is expected to feature new alloy wheels with an aero-focused design.
Dimensionally, the updated Ioniq 5 shows a slight increase in length. The global version measures 4,655 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, 1,605 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. These changes are minor but contribute to the vehicle's overall presence and efficiency.
Interior and Feature Enhancements

Inside, Hyundai has focused on improving usability and comfort. The facelift introduces physical buttons on the centre console, replacing some touch-based controls. This change is expected to make functions such as parking assist, heated steering wheel, and ventilated seats more accessible. The wireless charging pad has been repositioned to the upper section of the centre console for easier use.
The updated model is also expected to include Hyundai’s latest Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system. This system offers improved graphics, over-the-air updates, and wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A new three-spoke steering wheel with pixel lighting is likely to be included as well.
Performance, Safety, and Launch Timeline
Hyundai has made structural reinforcements and suspension tweaks to enhance ride stability, reduce vibration, and improve cabin quietness. Internationally, the facelifted Ioniq 5 features improved side-impact protection and an updated safety kit. A significant global update is the introduction of a larger 84 kWh battery pack, offering up to 570 km range on the WLTP cycle in rear-wheel-drive form. It is not yet confirmed if this battery will be available in India. The current India-spec Ioniq 5 uses a 72.6 kWh battery, delivering 217 PS and 350 Nm in rear-wheel-drive format.
Hyundai is pursuing an aggressive product strategy in India, with several launches planned. The company has already updated the Verna and Exter models this year. The Ioniq 5 facelift is expected to be among the next launches, with a new MPV and a lifestyle off-roader also in the pipeline. The facelifted Ioniq 5 is expected to help Hyundai remain competitive in the premium electric crossover segment as more rivals enter the market.
