2026 Jeep Recon Debuts Globally, Claims 402 Km of Range

Jeep has officially unveiled its all-new 2026 Jeep Recon, a fully electric off-road SUV that marks a significant leap for the brand in electrification. Designed to combine Jeep’s legendary ruggedness with modern EV technology, the Recon promises thrilling performance and offers capability, claiming an estimated range of 402 kilometers on a full charge.

Unveiled as Jeep’s first fully electric Trail Rated SUV, the Recon boasts a muscular design, advanced tech-focused interiors, and a robust 100 kWh battery powering dual motors. Set to launch initially in the US and Canada in early 2026, this EV off-roader is poised to elevate Jeep’s electrified portfolio globally. Powerful Electric Performance

The 2026 Jeep Recon is equipped with dual 250 kW electric drive modules (one on each axle), delivering a combined output of 659 HP of power and 841 Nm of instant torque. This powertrain enables the Recon to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in a swift 3.6 seconds, positioning it as Jeep’s most powerful EV yet.

Jeep’s engineering focus on off-road capability is evident in the Recon’s drivetrain calibration, including an electronic locking differential. This model also features an 11:1 final drive ratio on the front motor and a 15:1 ratio at the rear, enhancing low-speed crawling and technical trail efficiency.

Jeep has tailored the Recon with off-road dominance in mind. It sits on 33-inch Moab-specific tires and has an impressive ground clearance of 238 mm. The Recon incorporates Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system, offering multiple drive modes like Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand, and a dedicated Rock mode on Moab trims. The Rock mode optimizes pedal mapping while also providing hill hold assist for technical climbs.

Enrich Features

Talking about the interiors, the Recon pairs functionality with premium technology. A massive 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen rules the dashboard, integrating HVAC controls, Amazon Alexa voice commands, and detailed EV info pages. Drivers benefit from a 12.3-inch digital cluster, and passengers enjoy thoughtful touches like a panoramic sunroof, two-tone upholstery, and an Alpine premium sound system.

The vehicle also features specialized off-road navigation tech, such as the Trails Offroad app with trail mapping and Dynamic Range Mapping powered by TomTom, helping drivers plan EV charging stops during long adventures.

Global Launch and Outlook

Production of the Jeep Recon is slated to begin early next year at the Toluca Assembly Plant in Mexico. Jeep will initially roll the SUV out in the US and Canadian markets, with plans for a broader global launch thereafter. Priced starting around $65,000.
