2026 Renault Duster Spied Testing Ahead of its Launch: Check What's New
The all new Renault Duster blends a rugged SUV character with modern design updates, aiming to offer a practical, durable, and competitive package for buyers in the mid-size SUV space.
Renault is setting the pace for the launch of all-new Duster this month. Earlier this week, the brand released a teaser showcasing a glimpse of what the 2026 Duster will bring to the table. Now, the test mule of the upcoming mid-size SUV has been spotted in its production-ready form. Although it was heavily camouflaged and the teaser revealed very few details, it still gives us an idea of its design language. So, let’s take a closer look at the spy shots of the all-new Duster.
Key Highlights
- Bold, upright SUV stance with strong road presence
- Modern lighting elements enhancing visibility and appeal
- Practical design focused on everyday usability
- Rugged character aimed at long-term durability
- Competitive positioning in the mid-size SUV segment
New Renault Duster: Updates

Starting at the front, the test mule features a vertical front profile and an upright bonnet, paired with LED DRLs positioned alongside the grille. Meanwhile, separate headlamps and a prominent bumper define the front design. From the sides, the new Duster gets diamond-cut alloy wheels with a fresh design, along with conventional front door handles and pillar-mounted grab handles for rear passengers. Well-sized ORVMs and tall roof rails, which seem functional, are also visible.

At the rear, the all-new Duster offers a modern appearance with squared-off surfaces. It gets connected tail-lamps, a high-mounted stop lamp, a wide tailgate, a robust skid plate, and a subtle roof spoiler contributing to a strong yet clean look. A shark-fin antenna and a rear wiper finish off the rear design.
Rivals and Price
Making a comeback in the mid-size SUV space, it is going to compete with the Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Tata Sierra, and Maruti Suzuki Victoris. While there has been no official announcement regarding pricing so far, sources suggest it could start from ₹10 lakh.
Verdict
The new Duster appears to be shaping up as a strong, no-nonsense contender with a clear focus on robustness design and modern styling. If Renault introduces it at a competitive pricing, a refined cabin, and reliable powertrain options, it could re-establish the Duster as a practical and value for money choice in the crowded mid-size SUV segment.
