The upcoming 2026 Skoda Slavia has been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads, giving us the first glimpse of what to expect from the brand’s refreshed mid-size sedan. With camouflaged prototypes revealing subtle design tweaks and possible tech updates, Skoda appears ready to strengthen its presence in India’s competitive premium sedan segment.
The Slavia, first introduced in India in early 2022, has been a steady performer for Skoda, striking a balance between European design and Indian sensibilities. The latest spy shots hint that the Czech automaker is preparing to give its popular sedan a mid-cycle update, likely focusing on improved premium features, enhanced comfort, and more connected technology.

Despite the heavy camouflage, the 2026 Slavia prototype shows evidence of a few exterior updates. The front fascia seems to receive a reworked grille pattern paired with sleeker LED headlamps, possibly inspired by the latest generation of global Skoda models. A revised bumper with slightly wider air intakes adds a sportier tone to the front profile.
The rear appears to carry updated LED taillights with a sharper lighting signature, while the bumper design could feature refined detailing. Side proportions remain largely identical, continuing to showcase Slavia’s balanced stance and smooth character lines. New alloy wheel designs are also expected, adding to the sedan’s premium positioning in the midsize segment.
While no interior images have surfaced yet, industry speculation points toward notable cabin updates. Skoda could introduce a larger touchscreen infotainment system, improved digital instrumentation, and wireless smartphone connectivity across variants. An updated dashboard layout with new textures or materials may further enhance the sedan’s upmarket appeal.
Skoda might also take this opportunity to include additional comfort-oriented features such as ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, and a 360-degree camera system.

Under the hood, the 2026 Skoda Slavia is expected to continue with its proven TSI petrol engine lineup. That means the familiar 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder and 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol units are likely to stay, both offering a strong performance balance.
The smaller engine produces around 115 HP and 178 Nm, while the larger 1.5-liter unit delivers 150 HP and 250 Nm. Both options come mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, and the higher-spec engine also features a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

When launched, the updated Slavia will continue to rival established sedans such as the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Ciaz. With its robust build quality and performance-driven engines, the model has carved a unique niche among enthusiasts who value premium engineering.
Skoda Auto India has not yet confirmed the launch timeline, but given that road tests are already underway, the 2026 Slavia could make its official debut by mid-2026. Pricing updates are expected to position it slightly above the outgoing version, starting around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
The 2026 Slavia could emerge as one of the most compelling sedans in its price bracket. With testing in full swing, Indian customers can look forward to a more refined and feature-packed version of Skoda’s beloved sedan in the coming months.
