Pricing and Variant Details
Tata Motors launched the updated Punch EV in February 2026. Bookings opened later that month for a token amount of Rs 21,000. The facelifted Punch EV is priced from Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The base model pricing starts at Rs 6.49 lakh.
The electric SUV is available in five variants: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. The Smart 30 and Smart+ 30 variants have the longest waiting periods, ranging from 8 to 10 weeks. This suggests strong demand for entry-level trims. Variants with the larger battery pack, such as Smart+ 40, Adventure 40, Empowered+ 40, and Empowered+ S 40, have shorter waiting periods of about 7 to 8 weeks.
Features and Specifications

The Punch EV facelift includes several new features. It now offers a voice-activated sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a 360-degree camera. Other additions are ventilated front seats, connected car technology, blind spot monitoring, and cruise control.
The exterior has also been updated. The facelift features a refreshed front fascia, revised bumpers, updated LED lighting, and a ground clearance of 195 mm. Colour options include Fearless Yellow, Bengal Rouge, and Caramel.
The Punch EV facelift comes with two battery pack options: 30 kWh and 40 kWh. The 30 kWh version produces 88 hp and 154 Nm of torque. The 40 kWh battery delivers 129 hp with the same 154 Nm torque. The 30 kWh variants offer a range of up to 375 km, while the 40 kWh versions provide up to 468 km (ARAI certified).
Charging and Warranty
Tata Motors has improved charging capabilities for the Punch EV. The vehicle supports up to 65 kW DC fast charging. It can charge from 20% to 80% in about 26 minutes. A full charge using fast charging takes longer, depending on conditions. Tata also offers a lifetime, unlimited-kilometre warranty on the battery.
Market Position and Competition
The Punch EV facelift competes with the Citroen eC3 in the entry-level electric vehicle segment. It is positioned below the Tata Nexon EV. Other alternatives in the segment include the MG Windsor EV and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
