2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift launches today with upgraded tech and new battery pack option
The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift hits roads today: The car might offer bolder styling, same powertrains with all-new bigger battery configuration setup along with new color option avaiable for customers.

Tata Motors is all set to introduce the all-new 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift today. This will be the first major update for the entry-level all-electric micro SUV since its inception in 2024. For the 2026 edition, the brand might offer a bold new design statement that carries a subtle proportion of exterior stance from the recently updated ICE counterpart.
With the new design and updated tech, Tata Motors aims to keep the Punch EV fresh amid growing competition while offering an ownership experience that blends everyday practicality with cutting-edge electric technology. Let’s take a closer look at the expected specs and features of the upcoming Tata Punch EV facelift.
Refreshed Design With a Sharper Identity
With the new facelift version, there will be subtle exterior changes to the front fascia of the car. A few design attributes will be revised with the LED DRLs now not connected to the middle. Updates include a sleeker closed grille and redesigned LED headlamps integrated neatly into the bumper, which might look bigger.
We might also expect a new paint scheme that will be carried forward from the ICE Tata Punch. While looking at the car from the rear, the car will be equipped with an exact connected tail lamp, which will be similar to the tail light seen on the petrol version of the Tata Punch facelift.
Smarter Cabin With Premium Finishes

Talking about the interiors, the Tata Punch EV facelift might come with a more premium finish inside the cabin. However, the brand has already given premium leather upholstery in the current model, so we can’t expect bigger changes within the cockpit. The major update can be seen on the dashboard, as it possesses a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The instrument cluster is now a fully digital 10.25-inch unit, offering customizable themes and enhanced driver information. Additional features include ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, an air purifier, and a 360-degree camera setup.
Bigger Battery Pack Option

Considering its powertrain specification, the current model is equipped with two battery pack options: a 25 kWh battery pack and a 35 kWh battery pack. Now with a new facelift variant, Tata might offer a bigger battery pack option under the top-trim level. The company claims a certified range of up to 410 km, an improvement over the outgoing version.

Pricing, Variants, and Availability
Tata Motors has not revealed any official price tag for the upcoming Punch EV facelift. We might expect a slight jump from the current pricing of the existing model that ranges from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh. Bookings opened earlier this month at Tata dealerships and on the brand’s official website, drawing strong interest from urban buyers and young professionals.
Conclusion
The Punch EV facelift will slot below the Nexon EV in Tata’s EV portfolio, targeting users upgrading from hatchbacks or first-time EV buyers. With refreshed styling, richer features, and improved range, the updated Punch EV is expected to strengthen Tata’s stronghold in India’s rapidly growing electric mobility space.
