Mahindra & Mahindra has been maintaining the position of India’s second-largest automobile manufacturer for a long time, witnessing impressive YoY growth figures. To cement its position and even in efforts to go on top, the Indian automotive brand aims to launch new models in the coming months. It includes EVs, new variants, facelifts, and a fresh launch. One of the most anticipated launches from Mahindra is its new generation of Bolero Neo, which has been the best-selling model in rural and semi-urban areas across the country. Here, we will explore these launches with available insights and the expected launch timeline.
Mahindra XUV3XO EV
Mahindra launched its XUV3XO on April 29, 2024, and now it is launching the electric version of its flagship XUV3XO in the Indian market. While the launch date is not revealed yet, the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is expected to launch in August 2025. The sub-four-meter electric SUV will look slightly different from its ICE counterpart and will be positioned as the replacement for the Mahindra XUV400 EV. It would feature a newly designed front grille with a larger central air intake and aero-optimized alloy wheels for a premium look from the side profile. Additionally, the model can be launched with a 35 kWh battery pack with a single electric motor. After launching in the Indian market, it could be priced as low as Rs 13 lakh and rival with Tata Nexon EV directly.
Mahindra XEV 9e New Variants
Mahindra is also willing to expand the XEV 9e electric SUV lineup with new trims having additional features and better range. As per the industry sources, the homegrown automotive manufacturer will expand the Mahindra XEV 9e model lineup with 6 new variants, including Pack One 59kWh, Pack Two 59kWh, Pack Three 59kWh, Pack Three Select 59kWh, Pack Three 79kWh, and Pack Three Select 79kWh. Also, Mahindra can keep the pricing for larger battery pack variants more affordable, making it accessible for tight-budget customers. These variants are expected to launch by August or the end of this year.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift
Expected to make its official debut in August 2025, the Mahindra Bolero Neo facelift is another model that Indian automobile enthusiasts have long waited for. The model will likely feature a new body shell, more pronounced wheel arches, an updated door, and flush handles. There could also be larger twin five-spoke alloy wheels with major upgrades inside the cabin. Under the hood, the new generation Bolero Neo is anticipated to get the same 1.5-liter 3-cylinder diesel engine coupled with a manual gearbox unit, producing 100 bhp of power output. With added features and a new design, the model may get slightly premium pricing compared to existing models in the market.
Mahindra XEV 7e
Recent spy images revealed that the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e will have a dual-tone cabin theme and a fully equipped interior with a three-screen setup on the dashboard, similar to the XEV 9e SUV. Mahindra can offer additional features like a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, VisionX HUD, Level 2 ADAS, and TPMS. The model can get 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options with a high-performance electric motor setup, likely to be borrowed from the Mahindra XEV 9e. The launch timeline of the upcoming XEV 7e is expected by the end of 2025 or early 2026. Additionally, Mahindra can make the XEV 7e SUV available at the price range of Rs 21 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, ex-showroom.
