Tata Motors is gearing up for a significant addition to its SUV line-up with the unveil of the Curvv coupe SUV. The Tata Curvv SUV has been unveiled in India on July 19, 2024, with electric and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) variants. The official launch of the Curvv SUV, including price announcements and the commencement of bookings, is scheduled for August 7. This launch follows the Curvv SUV's concept debut at last year's Auto Expo and a near-production prototype display at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year.
The Tata Curvv Coupe SUV aims to stand out in the competitive SUV market with its distinctive coupe-like silhouette, characterized by a sharply sloping roofline.

The Curvv's exterior design blends modern aesthetics with sporty elements. At the front, sleek LED light strips are complemented by dual-projector headlamps, creating a distinctive face. The profile is defined by muscular wheel arches and a sharply sloping roofline, emphasizing its coupe-like silhouette. The rear showcases a rear LED light bar, enhancing the vehicle's width and modern appearance. A prominent rear spoiler and flush-type door handles add a touch of sportiness and complete the dynamic look of this coupe SUV.
The Curvv CUV adopts a minimalist approach with a tech-focused cabin. Key interior features include:
- 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Digital instrument cluster
- Dual-zone auto AC
- Wireless phone charging
- 360-degree camera
- Two-spoke steering wheel
- Ventilated seats
- Panoramic sunroof
- Premium audio system
Safety is a priority, with the Curvv offering Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking.
The Curvv will be available with multiple powertrain options. The electric version, built on Tata's Acti.ev platform, is expected to offer a range of 400-500 km on a single charge, with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. For ICE enthusiasts, the Curvv will feature upgraded versions of the 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L diesel engines from the Tata Nexon. Transmission options are likely to include manual, automatic, and dual-clutch variants.
As per some of our dealer sources, unofficial bookings are already underway with a deposit of Rs. 21,000. Tata Motors plans to launch the electric version first, followed by the ICE variants, aligning with their new EV-first strategy for future launches.
The Curvv is poised to compete in the growing coupe SUV segment, offering a blend of style, technology, and powertrain options to cater to diverse consumer preferences. The Tata Curvv will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Citroen Basalt, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With its advanced features and design, the Curvv represents Tata Motors' continued efforts to innovate and expand its presence in the Indian automotive market.
