The Citroën Basalt includes the launch of the Dark Edition, with an all-black styling and limited availability. The Dark Edition is priced at a premium of INR 23,000 over the top-spec variant.
Exterior Design
The exterior design elements in the Citroën Basalt feature a sloping roofline, a chrome-lined Chevron logo, a two-part grille, and a faux silver skid plate. The Basalt also includes LED projector headlamps alongside signature LED daytime running lamps. The side profile of the Basalt features a squared-off wheel arch cladding, a pinched window line, and stylish 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear is marked by a stubby, well-contoured tailgate, 3D-effect halogen taillamps, and a chunky dual-tone bumper.
Interior Design
Step inside the Citroën Basalt, and the interior touches include a new HVAC panel with digital readouts and toggle switches, automatic climate control, and a larger front armrest with storage. Additional features in the rear of the interiors include adjustable thigh supportive and first-in segment contoured headrests. The airy cabin is accompanied by light upholstery and chrome accents. The Basalt also includes wireless phone charging, rear AC vents, and a spacious 470-litre boot.
Variant and Colours
The variant options within the Basalt include both naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, as well as manual and automatic transmissions. The colour options within the Basalt are Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmo Blue, and Garnet Red, with dual-tone black roof options available for the Garnet Red and Polar White variants.
Engine, Capacity & Mileage
The Citroën Basalt is available in two engine options, which are 1.2-litre Naturally Aspirated (NA) petrol, which generates 82 hp, paired with either a 5-speed or 6-speed manual transmission, and a 1.2-litre Turbo-Petrol, which delivers 110 hp and is available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Safety Features
The Citroën Basalt offers safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat mounts, and three-point seat belts for all seats. Additionally, The Basalt has also achieved a 4-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.
