From the past few weeks, we have seen Ampere being aggressively updating each move and journey covered by its upcoming Nexus. The journey started on January 16 from Salal Dam, Jammu and Kashmir, and has finally been concluded today in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu.

Key Features of Ampere Nexus

The Ampere Nexus, heralded as the production-spec version of the NXG concept unveiled over a year ago at the Auto Expo, promises to revolutionize the electric scooter segment. Equipped with an LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) battery and boasting four riding modes, the Nexus aims to redefine urban commuting experiences.

Positioning and Features

Positioned above the Primus in Ampere's lineup, the Nexus exudes a sense of premium craftsmanship. Its features include a large digital display, flush-mounted pillion foot pegs, all-LED lighting, and a front disc brake—a first for Ampere scooters. Ampere claims a sleek design with no visible nuts or bolts, although this assertion awaits validation upon closer inspection.

Expected Price and Pre-Booking Details

Enthusiasts eager to experience the Ampere Nexus can now pre-book the K2K edition electric scooter for a token amount of Rs 499 via the company's official website. Primus, the current offering by Ampere is priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom), and Nexus is priced between Rs .35 - 1.55 Lakh (ex-showroom), slightly higher than the already available model.

Market Dynamics

With the FAME subsidy set to expire at the end of the month, the positioning of the Ampere Nexus in the market upon its launch remains uncertain. As the electric vehicle landscape changes and evolves, with new policies and incentives coming into effect, consumers eagerly await to witness how Ampere's latest offering will fare in the competitive market.

CarBike360 Says

The successful completion of the K2K journey marks a significant milestone for Ampere and its upcoming Nexus electric scooter. We can expect Ampere to state its dominance presence in the e-scooter market with the launch of Nexus.
