Ather Energy has released a teaser of its new upcoming electric scooter called the EL, making its official debut on August 30, 2025. CEO Tarun Mehta personally announced the news on the social media platform X (Twitter). The teaser shows a glimpse of the all-new scooter series, including what it will offer and how it will look.

The new scooters under the portfolio will be inspired by the Ather Rizta and the Ather 450’s silhouette. The brand will be launching the new EL platform-based lineup at the upcoming Ather Community Day on August 30, 2025. Furthermore, the all-new Ather Stack 7.0 operating software will also be revealed on Ather Community Day. Let us check out the details and know everything about the upcoming e-scooter.

The brand will also showcase its new scooter platform, EL, and other concept vehicles, which are likely to be based on this new EL platform. The company will also show its future iteration of fast charging stations and the updated Ather Stack 7.0 software suite with advanced features and improved connectivity.

The brand stated that its new EL platform resonates with modernity and is engineered to be versatile and cost-efficient. This new inventory will play a crucial role in expanding its portfolio and product line-up to cater to a wide range of customers. The company has also teased natural-language voice commands, likely integrated via the Halo smart helmet, pointing to deeper human-machine interaction across forthcoming scooters.

Affordability & timeline

As per the report, the brand is trying to make exterior establishments to give e-scooters an updated design language. With the new electric platform, the scooter shall also be equipped with an updated powertrain and electronics. Even a few ergonomic controls will be shared from the current Ather 450 aesthetics and AtherStack. The EL platform is designed in such a way that it will be utilized for both domestic and international markets.

What’s Ahead?

Ather is also making plans to introduce all-new Grid fast chargers, which aim to charge the vehicle quicker and more efficiently. At the moment, the company possesses current Ather Grid chargers that can charge any Ather e-scooter at the rate of 1.5 km/min.
