Bajaj has launched the new Dominar 350cc in India, offering the same features as the Dominar 400 but at a lower price. The new model is priced at Rs 1,99,998 (ex-showroom), making it Rs 40,000 cheaper than the current Dominar 400, which starts at Rs 2.40 lakh. This price reduction is due to the lower 18% GST rate for motorcycles under 350cc, compared to the 40% GST rate applied to the 373.3cc Dominar 400.

Engine and Performance Details

The new Dominar 350cc retains the Dominar 400 name to maintain brand recognition and avoid confusion. The main change is the engine displacement, which has been reduced from 373.3cc to 349cc. This was achieved by shortening the stroke length from 60 mm to 56.1 mm, while keeping the bore at 89 mm. According to leaked information, the 350cc engine produces approximately 39 PS of power and 33.2 Nm of torque. The outgoing 373cc engine delivers 40 PS and 35 Nm of torque. The difference in output is minimal, and real-world performance is expected to remain largely unchanged.
The exhaust note of the new 350cc variant remains similar to the existing model. Bajaj has started dispatching the new Dominar 400 (350cc) to dealerships ahead of its official launch. The company aims to provide buyers with a more affordable option without compromising on performance or features.
Features and Specifications
The new Dominar 350cc carries over all key features from the Dominar 400. It uses a beam type perimeter frame, 43 mm USD front forks, and a multistep adjustable rear monoshock with Nitrox. The front suspension travel is 135 mm, while the rear offers 110 mm. Both wheels are 17 inches, fitted with 110/R70 front and 150/R60 rear tubeless tyres.
The braking system includes a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike is equipped with an LED headlamp, traction control, and four ride modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road. The digital instrument console displays a range of information and features bonded colour technology.
No other significant changes have been made to the design or equipment. Bajaj will also introduce 350cc versions of KTM 390 bikes in the near future.
