BMW India is set to electrify the Indian roads with its all-new compact, sporty sedan. The company is set to unveil its all-new, refreshed BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe on July 17, 2025. The Bavarian automaker has already started pre-bookings for the model at all BMW India dealerships. For customers planning to buy the car, they may be able to book their car according to their preferences through the online website or visit the dealership for the same.
As bookings have already opened, this four-door coupe promises a compelling blend of sportiness, style, and tech. For your kind notice, the German giant, BMW, will only offer the petrol-powered variant known as the 218 Gran Coupe. Entering its latest generation, the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe marks a substantial step forward for the brand’s entry-level lineup.

A new generation of BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is going to make its official launch tomorrow. This car will act as the new version of the pre-existing model of BMW's entry-level segment Gran Coupe. While looking at the car, we find a blend of elegance and dynamism through the silhouette. The streamlined coupe rooftop makes it more aerodynamically enhanced. The new model features an all-new front fascia with a restyled kidney grille and adaptive LED headlamps.
The car will be based on the UKL2 platform. This platform is the same as that of the previous generation of the BMW Gran Coupe. With a similar platform, the dimensions of the car will remain the same. M Sport versions feature blacked-out accents and aggressive side creases, adding to the car's athletic appearance. A spacious boot with 430 liters ensures practicality for weekend trips, while 18-inch alloy wheels, which are standard on higher trims, improve both form and function.

While getting back behind the wheel, you may feel the generational leap immediately. The interior of the car looks reminiscent of the latest BMW SUVs. The most aesthetic element inside the cabin is the all-new curved display panel that pairs you with a 10.7-inch infotainment system. The 2 Series Gran Coupe boasts a panoramic, floating curved display, pairing a 10.25-inch digital driver’s screen running on BMW’s latest OS9 software.
The dashboard has been streamlined, with minimal physical controls, ambient lighting, and a futuristic shift-by-wire gear selector. The car offers the following features, as listed below:
The all-new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is the second generation of the pre-existing model already sold in India. As per the report, the brand will only sell the petrol-powered variant of the car. The car will be powered by the 1.5 L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is capable of generating 156 PS of power with 230 Nm of maximum torque.
The 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Enthusiasts can expect a 0-100 kmph sprint in just under 8.6 seconds, with a claimed top speed of 230 kmph. While the new car boasts an array of advanced driver assistance and safety features, including six airbags, DSC, and park assist.
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is expected to be positioned between Rs 50.00 lakh and Rs 56.00 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices may differ depending on the variant and options chosen. The M Sport and M Sport Pro variants feature enhanced styling and more kits.
