Citroen Basalt Vision, a C3-based SUV Coupe, debuts March 27, 2024, under the C-Cubed Program. Featuring distinctive design elements, it competes with Tata Curvv and others in the compact SUV segment.
Key Highlights:
Citroen has announced plans to introduce Basalt Vision under its C-Cubed Program. Basalt Vision will be a compact SUV Coupe based on the C3 platform and will be unveiled on 27 March at 12pm (IST). This model will be competing with upcoming models like the Tata Curvv and other well established players in the compact SUV segment.
Talking about the distinctive design of Basalt Vision, then we can say that the coup-styled rear section is notable compared to the conventional SUVs. From the teaser, we can expect the vehicle to feature tapering roofline, LED tail lights, and a shark fin antenna, which will give it a unique identification to easily distinguish from its competitors. Needless to mention that such design features are included to serve the interest of Indian buyers.
Basalt Vision is anticipated to be of 4.3 metre in length and almost shares the same dimensions which can be seen in C3 Aircross. This compact SUV will be rivalled against Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and others.
Citroen is expected to include features inspired from C3 hatch and C3 Aircross models, in the interior of Basalt Vision. Expected features include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument display, connectivity options, and advanced safety features like ESP, hill hold, and multiple airbags as standard.
Powering the Basalt Vision are likely to be the same engine options as the C3 Aircross, including a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission variants. This ensures a balance of performance and efficiency, catering to diverse consumer preferences.
As Citroen prepares to unveil the Basalt Vision, anticipation is high for its performance, features, and safety standards. With its unique design and competitive specifications, it promises to make a significant impact in the Indian compact SUV market. The debut of the Basalt Vision marks a new chapter for Citroen in India, signaling its commitment to delivering innovative and compelling vehicles tailored to the needs of Indian consumers.
