Citroen has announced plans to introduce Basalt Vision under its C-Cubed Program. Basalt Vision will be a compact SUV Coupe based on the C3 platform and will be unveiled on 27 March at 12pm (IST). This model will be competing with upcoming models like the Tata Curvv and other well established players in the compact SUV segment.

Distinctive Design Features

Talking about the distinctive design of Basalt Vision, then we can say that the coup-styled rear section is notable compared to the conventional SUVs. From the teaser, we can expect the vehicle to feature tapering roofline, LED tail lights, and a shark fin antenna, which will give it a unique identification to easily distinguish from its competitors. Needless to mention that such design features are included to serve the interest of Indian buyers.

Expected Rivals

Basalt Vision is anticipated to be of 4.3 metre in length and almost shares the same dimensions which can be seen in C3 Aircross. This compact SUV will be rivalled against  Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and others.

Interior Features and Safety Standards

Citroen is expected to include features inspired from C3 hatch and C3 Aircross models, in the interior of Basalt Vision. Expected features include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument display, connectivity options, and advanced safety features like ESP, hill hold, and multiple airbags as standard.

Powertrain Options

Powering the Basalt Vision are likely to be the same engine options as the C3 Aircross, including a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission variants. This ensures a balance of performance and efficiency, catering to diverse consumer preferences.
