Citroen India has launched the CNG version of its C3 hatchback car. The brand-authorized CNG retrofitments cost Rs 93,000 more than the showroom price of the hatchback. Citroen C3 CNG is available at Citroen dealerships through a certified retrofitment program at a starting price of Rs 7.16 lakh.

Citroen C3 CNG CNG Engine & Kit
Citroen India dealerships have partnered with Lovato to install the CNG kits in the C3 hatchback. Its single-cylinder CNG kit has a water equivalent storage capacity of 55 liters, and the brand has claimed that in a full tank, the C3 can go up to 200 km. Citroen has also confirmed that the CNG Kit is only available for the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, delivering 82 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque when powered by petrol fuel.
However, the power output delivery is yet to be revealed by Citroen for its C3 CNG. The CNG version of this hatchback can offer ARAI-certified fuel economy of 28.1 km/kg, and its engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The automaker has claimed that the rear suspension has been upgraded to ensure the ride quality remains unchanged.
Citroen C3 CNG Price & Variants
The Citroen C3 CNG is available in four variants, Live, Feel, Feel (O), and Shine, and the prices for these variants range from Rs 7.16 lakh to Rs 9.24 lakh, ex-showroom. The brand has offered 3 3-year or 1,00,000 km warranty on the CNG components.
With the CNG option, Citroen C3 will now compete with WagonR (priced at Rs 6.89-7.13 lakh), Tata Punch (priced at Rs 7.30-10 lakh), and Hyundai Exter (priced at Rs 8.63-9.53 lakh). Compared to other CNG-powered tall-boy hatchbacks, including WagonR, the C3 CNG is priced at the higher end but still costs less than the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.
