Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters. The brand has recently announced that they are now ready to commence sales of their much-awaited scooter, the Hero Xoom 160, in India. The scooter made its official debut at the EICMA 2024 show in Milan, Italy, and then its semi-predecessor, the Xoom 125R, as the near-production model, was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 earlier in Delhi.

Tagged as the New Era of Super Scooters, the Xoom 160 was crafted for power and precision, similar to the racing bike, but has the functionality of a power scooter. Engineered for city commutes and weekend adventures alike, it promises a liberating riding experience for those who seek more than mere mobility. Let's take a look at the insights and see what this scooter has to offer Indian buyers.

Sets New Benchmark in the Super Scooter Category

The recently launched Hero Xoom 160 is built to reimagine everyday rides. The scooter is poised to deliver unmatched performance and control that can go beyond a conventional scooter. This signifies its versatility as a super scooter to dominate city life. Considering its design, the front fascia of the scooter offers a longer visor that represents its touring aura, graced by the dual-chamber LED headlamps with integrated DRLs.

The scooter includes an LED position lamp as well as all LED lights in the rear. For safety, the scooter comes with front disc brakes with ABS. The brand has provided the Xoom 160 with a telescopic hydraulic shock absorber in the front. In contrast, the rear suspension is equipped with a dual-shock absorber. To give a touring modernity, the company has raised the stance and equipped it with 14-inch wheels with block-pattern tires.

Hero Xoom 160: Engine Specs

The Hero Xoom 160 combines innovative design with advanced technology to transform daily urban rides into exciting journeys. The scooter is powered by a robust 156 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder SOHC engine. This engine is capable of producing 14.6 HP of power with 14 Nm of peak torque. Paired with a CVT transmission, it offers technologies like i3s silent start, and a 4-valve FI engine architecture supports optimized performance while ensuring economical fuel consumption.

Advanced Features for Modern Urban Riding

With an advanced powertrain comes advanced, refined features. The 2025 iteration of the all-new Xoom 160 offers a host of refined features. The most prominent feature is the all-new digital speedometer integrated with the latest Bluetooth connectivity, which offers turn-by-turn navigation for the rider’s convenience. Other features include the following:
  • Hero's i3s Silent Start
  • 14-inch alloy wheels
  • Smart Key with Remote Seat Access
  • Front Disc Brakes
  • ABS
  • 7L Fuel Capacity

Pricing & Colors

The Hero Xoom 160 is priced at Rs 148,500 (ex-showroom) in India. The buyers can book the scooter by visiting the official website or by visiting the nearest authorized dealership network. The brand offers 4 distinct colors for Indian customers to choose from. These colors are Matte Rainforest Green, Summit White, Canyon Red, and Matte Volcanic Grey.

Conclusion

With the Xoom 160, Hero MotoCorp not only introduces a powerful new scooter but also redefines urban mobility, setting a fresh standard for what a super scooter should embody in terms of performance, style, and adventure in one compelling package.
