Despite muted retail activity attributed to monsoon effects, demand stability across regions signals a positive sentiment for the coming festive months. Innovative launches and sustainable exports across scooters, EVs, and premium bikes drove the overall growth of the company. The brand remains in sharp focus as India anticipates impactful GST reforms and increased rural demand.

8% Record Sales In August

Hero MotoCorp has been able to sell around 553,727 models from 512,360 units in the same month of the 2024 season. As per the reports, an estimated 510,523 units were sold, complemented by a spontaneous 53% jump in scooter volumes. Earlier this figure was stagnated by 501,523 units. The company’s domestic performance registered 519,139 units, while exports soared 72% to 34,588 units.

VIDA Electric Gains Momentum In Sales

VIDA, powered by Hero MotoCorp, has shown significant steps in moving the upward trajectory of the brand's portfolio. In August, the e-scooter recorded a strong growth of about 12,275 units and VAHAN registration of 13,313, driving consistent growth. This reinforces VIDA’s role in Hero’s sustainable mobility journey, driving market share gains both monthly and year-to-date in FY’26.

Innovation Outlook and GST Reforms

Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp has been optimistic when market sentiments are considered for the festive season, driven by the favorable monsoon. This will jack up the sales figures and boost overall consumption due to the impending GST rules and regulations. The expected GST reforms, which might show lower interest rates, will boost affordability.

The latest offerings of Hero Xoom 160 and the Glamour X 125 have garnered strong customer interest and are trying to deliver better performance in the market.

Conclusion

As the festive season approaches and market reforms loom, Hero MotoCorp stands well-positioned at the industry’s forefront. With record August sales, a dynamic EV portfolio, and the launch of the Glamour X 125, the company is driving both innovation and growth. These achievements signal Hero’s unwavering commitment to transforming two-wheeler mobility for India and beyond.
