Hero MotoCorp has officially started accepting bookings for the Xoom 160 maxi-scooter. This will make its bold entry into the premium maxi-scooter segment in India. The maxi-scooter was launched earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, priced competitively at Rs 1.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter is positioned to take on rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160.

At first, the actual sales of the maxi-scooter were delayed. With bookings now commencing to open, the deliveries are expected to start by the end of August 2025. This launch signifies a remarkable milestone for Hero as a brand to step into the adventure-styled maxi-scooter in the two-wheeler market.

Impressive Design and Build

The all-new Hero Xoom 160 offers a sporty appeal that can make an immediate impression. The front fascia of the maxi-scooter features an aggressive fairing and a signature central spine. The scooter comes with dual headlamps and a tall transparent visor that heightens its rugged look. The maxi scooter design is also complemented by wide handlebars and a single comfortable seat.

The riding ability and comfort are badged under 14-inch alloy wheels. Hero also provided its maxi-scooter with block pattern tyres, telescopic front forks, and dual rear spring suspension to prioritize comfortable commuting and weekend touring.

Hero Xoom 160: Engine and Performance

The Heo Xoom 160 is powered by a 156 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that revs up 14.6 HP of power and 14 Nm of torque. Paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), it offers smooth power delivery with strong acceleration. The top speed of the maxi-scooter will be around 100 kmph. The expected mileage is 40 kmpl.
