Honda city is one of the popular sedans relevant in the Indian market since its launch in 1998. The sedan has evolved throughout the time and currently is in its 5th gen avatar. Automakers are planning a facelift upgrade for the city to keep it a competitive choice in the segment; the Honda city facelift is expected to brake covers in 2026. A fully camouflaged Honda City Facelift has been spied testing, this is going to be the second facelift upgrade since 2023. Let’s have a close look at the recent spy shots.

The test mule appears to carry a stance familiar to its predecessor, though there will be some mild changes with the facelift version which is likely to be a sharper front profile, fresh LED DRL’s and headlamp design. From the sides, the car seems to be running on a new set of alloy wheels, hinting at a fresh pattern with this upgrade. Moreover, at the rear the present model features an edgy bumper, shark fin antenna, and sharp taillamp, upgrade could bring a more modern appearance and new colour scheme are also likely to be the part of the facelift upgrade. 

Interior Updates

As this is going to be a mild upgrade, big changes inside are not expected, the facelift could introduce new interior material complemented with fresh styling giving the cabin a cleaner and modern appearance. Considering the feature rivals offering it could come equipped with a 360-degree camera helping it to stay competitive in the segment. The existing model is also packed with a set of features such as adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation and collision mitigation braking system. 

Engine and Powertrain

The Honda City Facelift is likely to use the same engine option that comes with the existing model; it is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that delivers 121 PS and 145 Nm of power and torque respectively. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual and a CVT. Moreover, the City Hybrid will be available along with the petrol variant, offering improved efficiency by a strong-hybrid system that develops 126hp coupled with a CVT.
