The new Ioniq 5 features minor exterior updates. The front end has subtle tweaks, while the alloy wheels now have a dual-tone finish. At the rear, Hyundai has revised the bumper and added two integrated fog lights. The car's length increases by 20mm, now measuring 4,655mm. This remains 40mm shorter than the Kia EV6, which is 4,695mm long.

Inside, the facelifted Ioniq 5 retains its minimalist design. The steering wheel remains logoless, but the flat-bottom design is more pronounced. The dual 12.3-inch screens continue, serving as the infotainment and instrument clusters. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now built into the infotainment system, removing the need for adapters.

Mechanical and Feature Upgrades

The updated Ioniq 5 receives significant mechanical improvements. The previous version used a 72.6kWh battery with a 214bhp and 350Nm rear-wheel-drive motor. The new model upgrades to an 84kWh battery and a 321bhp, 605Nm all-wheel-drive motor, matching the GT variant's setup.

DC fast charging remains at 350kW, allowing the battery to charge from 30 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The facelift also introduces 20-inch tyres with new dual-tone alloys, all four disc brakes, and a five-link rear suspension. Additional features include paddle shifters for regenerative braking adjustment, vehicle-to-vehicle reverse charging, a powered tailgate, electric lumbar support, and a head-up display.

The Ioniq 5 continues to offer wireless connectivity and enhanced comfort features. These updates aim to keep the model competitive in the growing electric vehicle market in India.
