Hyundai has officially revealed its all-new electric SUV called Elexio in China. It was designed and developed by Beijing Hyundai, a joint venture between Hyundai and BAIC Motor, particularly for the Chinese automobile market.

The Elexio SUV is built on E-GMP architecture, which is seen in various electric models from Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis. The EV breaks away from the Ioniq moniker that features Hyundai EVs. It also gets a new design language compared to other EVs in Hyundai's electric portfolio.

The front features slim LED headlamps with a light bar and sculpted wheel arches with body cladding. The SUV receives flush door handles and a tapering roofline to a darkened D-pillar. Hyundai EV sports a full-width slim LED light bar and 'Elexio' lettering in bo on the rear side. However, the automaker hasn't specified anything about the vehicle's dimensions, but it appears to be a big SUV based on a picture that surfaced online.

The interior details are not disclosed, but it's anticipated that there could be a new digital instrument cluster and an intelligent interface with no physical buttons. The infotainment system is likely to get power from a Qualcomm SA8295 chip. At the same time, the battery details are not revealed; it's likely to offer a 700 km range on a single charge.
The battery will also have fast charging support, getting 30-80% in 27 minutes. The SUV is said to have a reinforced structure that meets the crash safety standards.
The all-new Hyundai Elexio is designed particularly for the Chinese market and is expected to launch soon. There are no other updates on whether the automaker will launch this electric SUV in global markets.
