Mahindra Announces Up to 2.5 Percent Price Hike for ICE SUVs and CVs in April 2026
Mahindra will increase prices for its ICE SUVs and commercial vehicles by up to 2.5 percent from April 6, 2026, citing higher production costs. The XUV7XO and born-electric SUVs are exempt from this hike for now.

Mahindra will increase prices for its internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs and commercial vehicles (CVs) by up to 2.5 percent, effective from April 6, 2026. The company attributes this price hike to rising production costs. The average increase across the portfolio stands at 1.6 percent. Mahindra’s newly launched XUV7XO and its born-electric SUVs will not see immediate price changes.
Key Highlights
- Mahindra will raise ICE SUV and CV prices by up to 2.5 percent from April 6 2026
- XUV7XO and born-electric SUVs are exempt from the April 2026 price hike for now
- Average price increase across Mahindra's portfolio is 1.6 percent
- Estimated new prices for key models provided based on the average hike
Details of the Price Hike
Mahindra’s price adjustment follows similar moves by other manufacturers, including Tata Motors, JSW MG Motor, and Honda, who also announced hikes in April 2026. Mahindra’s last price increase occurred in March 2025, when prices rose by up to 3 percent. The company states that the current hike results from a combination of escalating costs.
The price hike will apply to Mahindra’s ICE SUV and CV range. However, the impact on individual models and variants may vary. Some variants could be exempt from the increase. The average hike of 1.6 percent provides a general idea for most models.
XUV7XO and Electric SUVs Exempted
The recently launched Mahindra XUV7XO will not be affected by the April 2026 price hike for its first 40,000 bookings. Customers who book within this limit will pay the original price, ranging from Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 25.07 lakh. The new prices will apply only after the first 40,000 units are delivered.
Mahindra’s born-electric SUVs, including the BE6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S, are also spared from this round of price increases. These electric vehicles recently reached a collective sales milestone of 50,000 units within one year of launch. This strong demand has helped Mahindra become the third-largest electric car brand in India.
