Mahindra has launched the highly anticipated BE6 Formula E Edition, priced attractively at Rs 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. This special edition electric SUV embodies Mahindra's passion for motorsports, drawing direct inspiration from its Formula E racing program, making it a bold and sporty electric vehicle choice for enthusiasts. The launch signifies Mahindra's presence in the EV space with a unique, race-inspired variant.
The Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition sports exclusive design elements and performance updates that distinguish it from the standard BE6 lineup. With bookings starting from January 14, 2026, and deliveries scheduled for February, this limited-run model aims to capture attention with dynamic styling, advanced features, and commendable electric performance.

The Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition stands out with a striking Firestorm Orange paint scheme that symbolizes racing spirit. It features a revamped front fascia with circular LED projector headlamps, an aero wing to reduce drag, and a lip spoiler on the boot lid to enhance aerodynamics. The front and rear now offer silver bash plates along with Formula E-inspired 12-strip graphics representing each season of Mahindra in the FIA Formula E Championship.
Both the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, with edition-specific decals and a cleaner LED lightbar at the rear contributing to its premium sporty look. The interior receives carbon fiber accents and exclusive Formula E badging, elevating the cabin ambiance to reflect racing heritage. The vehicle offers two variants, such as FE2 and FE3, with different battery packs.

This special edition retains the standard BE6's electric powertrain options, including 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, paired with a rear-wheel-drive setup. The BE6 Formula E Edition promises a balance of spirited performance and practicality, supporting fast DC charging within 20 minutes.
The power output ranges up to 282 HP, making it a competent electric SUV for daily drives and spirited outings. Its electric range varies between approximately 557 km and 683 km, depending on the battery configuration chosen.

The BE6 Formula E Edition comes with a premium upholstery engraved with the Firestorm Orange shade, featuring an FIA Formula E logo embossed on the dashboard and seats and also integrated with FIA-branded seat belts. Mahindra has also introduced Formula E-inspired animation and exterior engine sounds. For the 2025 iteration, the BE 6 Formula E is available in 4 colors—Tango Red, Stealth Black, Firestorm Orange, and Everest White.
While getting behind the wheel, the BE6 Formula E Edition boasts twin 12.3-inch curved touchscreen displays powered by Mahindra's AdrenoX AI interface, handling infotainment and instrument cluster functions with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The SUV also comes equipped with premium offerings such as a Harman Kardon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats with 6-way power adjustment for the driver, and an advanced voice control system managing navigation and climate.

Additional convenience features include wireless chargers, a powered driver's seat, auto park assist, and an air purifier, making the Formula E Edition a well-rounded electric vehicle that does not compromise on safety or comfort. The base variant FE2 is equipped with 19-inch wheels, whereas the FE3 gets larger 20-inch alloy wheels similar to Formula E car tires.
The Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition sets a new benchmark for electric SUVs in India by combining motorsport aesthetics with advanced electric technology at a competitive price, catering to the evolving preferences of performance-oriented electric vehicle buyers. Bookings for the model open on January 14, 2026, with deliveries commencing from February 14, 2026.
