Mahindra has finally confirmed the availability of powertrain options, as well as 4WD and 2WD variants of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N. The information about the impending Scorpio N was confirmed on Instagram in response to a question from a user.
"Does it come in 4x4 with a manual transmission?" The Instagram user inquired. "The All-New Scorpio-N will be offered in a variety of Petrol/Diesel engine options, Manual/Automatic gearbox options, and 2WD/4WD Drive options," the official Instagram handle of the future Mahindra Scorpio N answered.
Apart from that, the photographs confirm that the all-wheel-drive version of the incoming 2018 Mahindra Scorpio N will include both 4-high and 4-low gear ratios, as well as off-road modes.

The all-wheel-drive system is part of Mahindra's branded '4Xplore' all-wheel-drive system, which comes with four pre-set modes: Rough, Snow, Mud, and Water, according to previously released data.
According to the leaked data, the automaker has also upgraded the all-wheel-drive version of the incoming 2018 Mahindra Scorpio N with a locking rear differential to increase off-road prowess. In terms of powertrain options, the incoming new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV will have one petrol and one diesel engine.
The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter turbocharged unit that generates 172 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. However, in the manual transmission variant, this engine is limited to producing 370Nm of torque. In terms of transmission, the Mahindra Scorpio N's automatic transmission is a 6-speed torque converter, while the manual transmission is also a 6-speed.

The petrol engine in the new Mahindra Scorpio N is a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a peak output of 197bhp and torque of 380Nm. A 6-speed torque converter gearbox or a 6-speed manual transmission can be used with this engine. The next Mahindra Scorpio N is 4,662mm long, 1,917mm wide, 1,870mm high, and has a 2,750 mm wheelbase, according to the leaked owner's handbook.
The leaked information also stated that the next new Mahindra Scorpio N will be available in two seating configurations: 2+2+2 or 2+2+3, with the former having 50:50 split seats and the latter having 60:40 split seats.

The interior pictures of Mahindra's impending new Scorpio N were recently released. Many aspects of the future three-row SUV are confirmed in these photographs. Also included are Brown and Black leather seats in the new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV.

According to the official interior photos of the incoming 2019 Mahindra Scorpio N, the SUV will have a massive 8-inch touchscreen entertainment unit, dual-zone climate controls, a Sony speaker setup, and perforated leather seats, and a rotary dial for off-road mode selection, an electric sunroof, and more.
A wireless charging pad, ventilated seats, linked car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, several USB outlets, electric driver seat adjustment, and more are expected to be included in the next Mahindra Scorpio N. The new Mahindra Scorpio N, unlike the new Mahindra XUV700, will not be equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
The debut of the Mahindra Scorpio N will be critical for Mahindra because the SUV is expected to improve total sales significantly. In addition, with the introduction of the Mahindra Scorpio N, the D-segment SUV category is expected to become much more competitive.
