Key Model Performance
The Scorpio lineup, including Scorpio-N and Classic, led Mahindra's sales with 14,578 units in March 2026. This represented a 4.78% year-on-year increase, though sales dipped 0.59% from the previous month. Mahindra plans to strengthen this lineup further with a Scorpio-N facelift expected later in the year.
Combined sales of Thar and ROXX reached 10,872 units, up 21.67% year-on-year. However, this figure was 1.58% lower than February 2026. The Bolero followed closely, selling 9,788 units, which is a 21.88% year-on-year increase but a 0.76% month-on-month decline.
The XUV series posted strong results. The XUV 7XO sold 9,210 units, a 34.43% year-on-year rise and a 1.08% increase from February. Mahindra recently celebrated the 20,000th delivery of the XUV 7XO. The XUV 3XO, including its electric variant, recorded 9,199 units, up 30.39% year-on-year and 6.51% month-on-month. This model is among the fastest-growing in Mahindra’s portfolio.
Electric Vehicle Segment
Mahindra’s electric vehicle range showed mixed results in March 2026. The new flagship electric SUV, XEV 9S, achieved 3,254 units. In contrast, XEV 9e sales declined to 1,759 units, down 15.43% year-on-year and 6.88% month-on-month.
The BE 6 model posted 1,495 units, reflecting a sharp 60.06% year-on-year and 35.42% month-on-month growth. This suggests increasing acceptance of newer EV offerings. Meanwhile, sales of the XUV400 dropped to 117 units, a 50.84% year-on-year and 27.78% month-on-month decline, indicating reduced demand for this older electric model.
The Marazzo did not record any sales in March 2026.
Balanced Growth Strategy
Mahindra’s March 2026 results highlight balanced growth across both internal combustion engine and electric vehicle portfolios. Traditional SUVs like Scorpio, Thar, Bolero, and XUV continue to anchor overall volumes. The electric vehicle segment is expanding, though demand varies across models. With new product updates and launches expected in both segments, Mahindra aims to sustain its growth momentum in the coming months.
