Mahindra is set to unveil its latest off-road offering, the Thar Roxx, on August 15, 2024. The Thar Roxx strives to blend the rugged capabilities of the standard Thar with premium features and a refreshed design. Recent teasers have revealed significant interior and exterior upgrades, positioning the Thar Roxx as a more upscale option in the off-road vehicle segment. Recent photos uploaded officially by Mahindra show the Thar Roxx in white and black color.
The interior of the Thar Roxx showcases a notable leap in luxury and technology:
- Soft-touch dashboard with contrasting yellow stitching
- Premium Harman Kardon sound system
- Panoramic sunroof for an open-air experience
- Cruise control for comfortable highway driving
- Electronically locking rear differential for improved off-road performance
- Ventilated seats and leather upholstery
- Digital instrument cluster and larger touchscreen infotainment system
- Automatic climate control
Exterior updates are equally substantial, giving the Thar Roxx a distinct identity:
- Body-colored bumper
- Redesigned front grille featuring 6 vertical slots, deviating from the 3-door Thar's 7-slot configuration
- Redesigned LED headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights
- Diamond-cut alloy wheels (steel wheels with covers on lower variants)
- Rear door handle relocated to the C-pillar for a cleaner profile
- Refreshed taillights
- Unique triangular third-row quarter glass, creating a distinctive C-pillar shape
- Horizontal slot spanning the entire width of the grille, centered in the design
- Vertically positioned rear door handles near the C-pillar
The Thar Roxx will retain the engine options from its siblings:
- 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine
- 2.0-litre Stallion turbo-petrol engine
Both engines will have multiple power outputs to suit different driving needs. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
