Mahindra Thar Roxx Launched Globally at Rs 12.99 Lakh on Independence Day Eve

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has introduced the all-new Thar ROXX on the eve of India's 78th Independence Day. The Thar ROXX, starting at ₹12.99 Lakh for the petrol variant, aspires to revolutionize the SUV market with its blend of luxury and performance. Built on a new platform, the Thar ROXX offers enhanced ride quality, handling, and NVH characteristics, while maintaining its off-road capabilities.

Key features of the Thar ROXX MX1 base variant include:

  • Iconic Thar silhouette with dual-tone metal top
  • LED projector headlamps and tail lamps
  • 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system
  • Push-button start and 60:40 split rear seat
  • Electric power steering and driver seat height adjust
  • 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
  • Brake Locking Differential
  • Premium embossed fabric upholstery

The Thar ROXX MX1 comprises a Penta Link Suspension system with Watt's Link for improved handling and ride quality. Safety is enhanced with 3-point seatbelts for all passengers. For comfort, ‘THE’ SUV offers rear AC vents and a USB-C port, ensuring a pleasant experience for all occupants.
Thar RoxxThe MX1 variant comes with two engine options:

1. Petrol MT: 119 kW power, 330 NM torque
2. Diesel MT: 111.9 kW power, 330 NM torque

The ROXX prioritizes safety with over 35 standard features. It incorporates cutting-edge technology, including twin HD displays—a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. The 5-door Thar also offers a Harman Kardon branded audio system for an immersive sound experience, along with a panoramic Skyroof™ and soft-touch leatherette dashboard and door trims.

Devised for those seeking a premium SUV experience, the Thar ROXX combines on-road comfort with off-road capability. The MX1, “Base, But Not Basic” variant, comes well-equipped with features like R18 steel wheels, rear AC vents, and a USB-C port.

The starting price for the MX1 petrol variant is ₹12.99 Lakh, while the diesel variant starts at ₹13.99 Lakh. With its comprehensive feature list and competitive pricing, the Thar ROXX intends to set a new benchmark in the Indian SUV market.
