Mahindra and Mahindra recently revealed the all-new Vision X Concept SUV on Independence Day. This is one of the brand's four conceptual SUVs, which are based on the all-new NU.IQ platform. With a sloping coupe-inspired design, aggressive detailing, and impressive engineering versatility, the Vision X promises a driving experience. We can expect this new drive to be the rival of the Maruti Suzuki Breeza or the Hyundai Venue.
The Vision X leads to a quartet of the future of Mahindra SUVs. The car balances sculptural appeal with market-savvy technological advancement. With its all-new NU.IQ, the car will be capable of supporting ICE, hybrid, and electric powertrains under the hood. Let’s check out the latest insights on the car. Mahindra’s Vision X signals a bold, exciting evolution in the sub-4-meter segment.

The recently revealed concept model of Vision X offers a sporty, upright, yet crossover-like design. Yet it has a sleek body with a coupe-style rear windscreen. The front fascia of the car shows its slender LED headlamps and a futuristic grille reminiscent of the XEV 9e. The hood is long, while the roofs are tapered down. Visually, we can see an extensive piano and matte black elements around the front pillars, roofline, and wheel arches.
At the rear, the car gets a signature split roof spoiler, connected DRLs, and a sporty black bumper. Chunky cladding adds ruggedness, while every line and crease harmonizes with Mahindra’s XEV 9e’s few design elements. Furthermore, the brand offers flush-type door handles with the Vision X, and the rear bumper also has a dual-tone finish.

The car is built on Mahindra’s all-new NU.IQ platform, which supports multiple powertrains. The platform spans vehicles from 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm, ensuring compactness without compromising on interior space and key specifications. The Vision X might offer FWD and AWD setups and can be offered by the LHD and RHD markets.
Like the other concept SUVs, the Vision X comes with a 2,665 mm wheelbase. It has high ground clearance and a commanding seating position—giving carheads the driving experience they crave in urban terrain and beyond. However, we did not get a glimpse of the car’s interior, nor has the brand disclosed any news regarding it.
The Conceptual SUV Vision X is likely to enter production by 2027. As a part of Mahindra’s global expansion strategy, it will give tough competition to its rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.
The Vision X seems to set a new standard in compact SUVs. It offers a blend of both city and off-road applications. Whether you crave the punch of sporty design or the practicality of next-level engineering, Vision X will be ready to capture the overhaul imagination of car enthusiasts. However, we can’t wait to see how the production models look when they are turned out.
