The XEV 9e’s proportions are striking, measuring 4,790mm in length, 1,905mm in width, and 1,690mm in height, making it longer than Mahindra’s XUV700. Its 2,775mm wheelbase exceeds the latter by 25mm, ensuring spacious interiors. With a ground clearance of 207mm and a 10-metre turning diameter. The XEV 9e is engineered for urban roads and moderate off-road conditions alike.
Visually, the coupe-SUV reflects Mahindra’s futuristic design ethos. Its blanked-out grille is flanked by a sleek LED light bar connecting angular, tech-inspired headlight clusters. Premium touches include extensive piano black accents, flush door handles, a muscular shoulder line, and specially designed aero-optimised 19-inch alloy wheels, with 20-inch alloys offered as optional upgrades. At the rear, connected slim LED tail lights sit beneath a sporty boot spoiler, while the illuminated infinity Mahindra logo signals the brand's future design language.
Inside, the XEV 9e redefines in-cabin technology with a trio of 12.3-inch screens (1920x720 resolution) powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox software. These include a driver display, infotainment system, and a passenger screen, all designed for seamless interaction. Adding to the tech-savvy ambiance is a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel featuring an illuminated Mahindra logo.
Despite its advanced tech, the SUV retains familiar Mahindra switchgear elements, such as HVAC and center console controls borrowed from the XUV700. Other features include an electronic parking brake, drive modes, and brake-by-wire technology. Practicality is uncompromised with a massive 665-litre boot space and an additional 150-litre frunk for storage flexibility.

Mahindra guarantees a lifetime warranty on the LFP (Lithium-Iron Phosphate) battery packs, ensuring long-term reliability.
Fast charging capability is a highlight, with the battery charging from 20 to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175kW DC fast charger. Range figures are equally impressive:
In real-world conditions, Mahindra claims the XEV 9e consistently achieves over 500km on a single charge.
The XEV 9e’s three-in-one powertrain integrates the motor, inverter, and transmission for optimal efficiency. Powered by the larger battery, it delivers 286hp and 380Nm to the rear wheels, enabling a brisk 0-100kph in 6.7 seconds. The smaller 59kWh unit offers a respectable 231hp.
