The Mahindra XUV700, which comes in 5-, 6-, and 7-seater versions, is still one of the most well-liked SUVs in India. Long wait times for some variants have resulted from the increased demand, despite efforts to increase supply. This is a detailed analysis of the Mahindra XUV700's current waiting times.
The XUV700 is a competitive option in the mid-size SUV market, with prices ranging from ₹13.99 lakh to ₹25.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, Tata Harrier, and Tata Safari are its main competitors.
Extended Wait Times for High-Spec Variants
The waiting period for the top-spec Mahindra XUV700 AX7 and AX7 L versions has increased to more than two months. Due to the increased demand for these fully-loaded models, the waiting period has increased from the previous 1.5 months.
Waiting Times for Mid-Spec and Entry-Level Variants
Customers may anticipate a waiting period of around one month for the entry-level MX version and mid-range variants such as the AX3, AX5, and AX5 Select. This is true for both diesel and gasoline variants, thus the wait time is essentially the same for both engine choices.
Variants Without Specified Waiting Periods
Variant | Extended Waiting Period |
AX7 | Over 2 months |
AX7 L | Over 2 months |
MX | Around 1 month |
AX3 | Around 1 month |
AX5 | Around 1 month |
AX5 Select | Around 1 month |
6-Seater Variants | No specified waiting time |
ESP-Equipped Variants | No specified waiting time |
It's interesting to note that some XUV700 models with the 6-seater configuration and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) do not have waiting periods. It's recommended to get in touch with your local Mahindra shop for comprehensive details on these trims and the delivery schedules for vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
Engine and Gearbox Options
The Mahindra XUV700 comes with two engine choices:
- A 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine
- A 2.2-liter diesel engine
Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The diesel variant also offers an AWD (All-Wheel Drive) option, providing more versatility for off-road conditions.
