Maruti Suzuki Nexa, on its social media platforms, posted a teaser film showcasing the panoramic sunroof of the next Grand Vitara.

On July 20, 2022, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a brand-new small SUV to the Indian market. The new SUV, Grand Vitara, has the same mechanical underpinnings as the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder but will have visual variations. It was jointly developed by Maruti Suzuki and Toyota. Having said that, the size of the panoramic sunroof between the two SUVs may be one such cosmetic distinction on the interior. In a recent teaser film, Maruti Suzuki asserted that the new compact SUV would have the largest panoramic sunroof in its class.

The Grand Vitara will continue where the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza left off by including a sizable panoramic sunroof, which is believed to be the biggest in class. The Grand Vitara was recently launched and is the second Maruti Suzuki vehicle to go on sale in India with a sunroof. In addition, the small SUV is anticipated to have a head-up display (HUD), ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, connected car technology, a 9-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and many more features.
The Grand Vitara will resemble the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in terms of design but will be slightly larger, placing it in the center of the compact SUV size range. Toyota will produce the Grand Vitara as a part of the global Suzuki-Toyota cooperation.

There will be two 1.5-liter petrol engine options available to power the small SUV. The 1.5-liter K Series engine from Maruti Suzuki, which incorporates a mild hybrid system derived from an integrated starter motor generator, will be the first of the two (ISG). This engine has a maximum output of 135 Nm of torque and 100 horsepower, and it will be mated to either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual transmission.
The other option is a 1.5-litre TNGA engine from Toyota that has a THS (Toyota Hybrid System) and an e-drive transmission. The electric motor, which has an output of 79 horsepower and 141 Nm of immediate torque, assists the engine, which has an independent output of 91 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. The strong-hybrid engine's combined output is 113 horsepower. Additionally, this SUV model will be able to operate in EV-only mode for brief periods of time at slower speeds.
