The updated Goods and Services Tax regime has categorized the 4-wheeler into two tax slabs. The first are those vehicles under 4 meters that have engine capacities up to 1200 cc for petrol and up to 1500 cc for diesel, which are placed under the 18% tax slab. Beyond such specifications, the car is placed under a flat 40% without any additional cess, delivering tangible savings for new car buyers.

With the implementation of the new tax slab, Maruti Suzuki models from the Arena and Nexa dealerships have reduced their prices by up to Rs 36,000 to Rs 1.06 lakh across the portfolio.
