The new S-Presso’s next-gen K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, dual VVT engine with Idle Start-Stop tech churns 49kW at 5500rpm and 89Nm at 3500rpm. Maruti Suzuki says it has ESP with Hill Hold Assist on all AGS trims, electrically adjustable ORVMs in the Vxi+ and Vxi+(O) variants.

Maruti Suzuki announced on Monday the launch of the new S-Presso, which features a K-series engine and improved fuel efficiency. The upgraded model starts at INR 4.25 lakh and goes up to INR 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new 2022 S-Presso car engine is a next-gen K-Series 1.0-Litre Dual Jet, dual VVT motor with Idle Start-Stop technology, that churns out 49kW of max power at 5500rpm and 89Nm of peak torque at 3500rpm.

The new model, according to the manufacturer, has a fuel efficiency of 25.30 kmpl in Vxi(O) and Vxi+(O) AGS, 24.76 kmpl in Vxi and Vxi+ MT, and 24.12 kmpl in Std and Lxi MT. According to Maruti, the new model has a 17 percent increase in AGS fuel efficiency and a nearly 14 percent increase in MT fuel efficiency.
All AGS variants have ESP with Hill Hold Assist, and the Vxi+ and Vxi+(O) variants have electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear-View Mirrors).
"S-Presso has carved a strong niche for itself with its bold SUVish design," said Mr Shashank Srivastava, the Senior Executive Director of Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India. Over a three-year period, we sold over 2,02,500 units of S-Presso, demonstrating the fact that it struck the right chords with customers and aspiring Maruti Suzuki car lovers.
Customers will enjoy an engaging driving experience with the new refined SPresso engine and added features, he claims.
The new 2022 Maruti Suzuki S-Presso car’s safety features have dual airbags, ABS with EBD, pretensioner and force limiter front seatbelts with front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert system, and reverse parking sensors are standard in all variants.
