Matter Aera Electric Bike Debuts in Delhi with India’s First Geared EV

The Matter Aera made its debut in Delhi, and there are loads to be excited about. The pricing of the Aera is INR 1,93,826 (ex-showroom), plus India’s first geared electric motorbike and a cutting-edge innovation for one of our country’s most fast-paced, forward-thinking, and influential urban centres.

What is so thrilling about the Aera is its “HyperShift,” which is a 4-speed gearbox designed specifically for electric motorbikes. This feature offers manual control, the power of EV, and a well-connected intelligence for an entirely new driving experience.

Design Elements

The design elements of the Aera are its wide and muscular stance with a sporty aesthetic, along with sharp lines. The motorcycle also features an LED headlight with integrated daytime running lights, and the taillight implements the “Matter” logo, which glows when the brake has been applied. There are five unique colours to choose from, which are Cosmic Black, Cosmic Blue, Glacier White, Blaze Red, and Nord Grey. The other design elements include a transparent clutch cover, a 100-section tire at the front, and a 130-section tire at the rear.

Key features

The Matter Aera’s key features include the HyperShift, which was mentioned just above; a liquid-cooled powertrain, which has been designed for Indian roads and riding conditions with a superior thermal efficiency; and a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with internal features like navigation, ride data, music control, and OTA updates. The other features include quick acceleration, a 5.0 kWh battery pack, dual disc brakes with ABS, a dual suspension system, smart park assist, and a smart key for a keyless riding experience.
