MATTER Partners With Bolt. Earth to Transform EV Charging Access Across India

​MATTER Motor is India’s first technology start-up to introduce a geared electric motorbike for Indian customers. According to the report, the company has recently announced a landmark partnership deal with Bolt Earth, India’s largest EV charging network, to address one of the biggest barriers to two-wheeler EV adoption in India. That barrier is none other than reliable charging.

The reliable and accessible charging infrastructure is a critical step toward driving mass EV adoption nationwide. This strategic partnership will simply provide easy riding solutions to the Indian customers and also help in promoting sustainable electric mobility solutions in India. With such a partnership deal, the reliable charging would feel as ordinary as topping up a phone. However, this partnership will roll out in phases, as the task is really challenging and time-consuming.

Partnership Highlights

MATTER Motors and Bolt. Earth together will lay the foundation of the extensive charging network across the nation. With a plan of developing around 100,000 charging stations along with developed infrastructure across 1,800+ cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi. With such initiative, the brand enables AERA, the 22nd-century motorbike from MATTER, to now easily locate and access chargers seamlessly through connected digital flow.

An Ecosystem Approach

According to the partnership deal, the phased rollout begins with network integration, followed by the installation of co-branded chargers at MATTER showrooms and service centers. This would really enhance both dealership network channels and customer experience. Both companies are rallying around the idea of “charging for everyone, everywhere,” with access extended to societies, workplaces, campuses, and more.

The operational responsibilities are clearly outlined within the business portfolio, Bolt. Earth will manage installation, uptime, and maintenance while providing real-time charger data. On the other hand, MATTER focuses on software integration, user education, and infrastructure mapping. Bolt. Earth EV chargers may even be bundled with new MATTER vehicles, making charging infrastructure a part of the purchase experience itself.
