MG Windsor EV Pro has finally arrived in India with an introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh, valid up to the first 8,000 bookings. Under MG’s flagship Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, the new Windsor EV Pro will cost Rs 12.49 lakh, excluding the battery charge. Customers must pay a monthly fee depending on how many kilometers they drive the EV. MG will officially commence the booking for its new Windsor EV on May 8.

MG Windsor EV Pro Battery, Range, & Charging Time
One of the major highlights of the newly launched Windsor EV Pro is its 52.9 kWh LFP battery pack, which is claimed to offer up to 449 km of range on a single charge. The existing model, MG Windsor EV, comes with a 38 kWh battery with a claimed range of 332 km on a full charge. However, in testing, it delivered 308 km of real-world range on a single charge and 8.1 km/kWh battery efficiency. Therefore, the new Windsor EV Pro is expected to surpass these figures with its more powerful battery.
While the battery capacity is improved, the power delivery and torque remain the same as in the standard model, which delivers 136 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. The Windsor Pro can be charged 0-100% in 9.5 hours using a 7.4 kWh AC charger, while it takes around 80 minutes on a 60 kW DC fast charger to get charged from 20-80%.
MG Windsor EV Pro Exterior Design
As its Pro version of the existing Windsor EV, it retains most design elements and does not feature any major cosmetic changes. For update, the automaker has provided only new design 18-inch alloy wheels, which look similar to alloy wheels offered in the MG Hector SUV.
The Windsor EV Pro continues to get the same styling elements as the standard models, like a split headlight setup with connected LED lightbars at both front and rear, retractable flush door handles, a large window area, and a distinctive MPV-hatchback hybrid form factor. MG has also introduced new color options, including Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver.
MG Windsor EV Pro Interior Features
While the exterior looks similar to existing models of Windsor EV, the interior gets completely changed with new beige upholstery on the seats, front armrest, roof, and column liners, distinguishing it from the current model that comes in the all-black color scheme. The EV also has several noticeable features like vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-load functionality, where the battery can charge other electric cars and external devices.
The Windsor EV Pro also has a Level 2 ADAS safety suite and d powered tailgate. With the larger battery pack, the interior space is slightly compromised and visible with the boot space of 579 liters, while the standard model offers 604 liters of boot space.
MG Windsor EV Pro Competitors
The newly launched Windsor EV Pro will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Mahindra XUV400.
