Kia Seltos and Kia Sonet are the two best sellers in the segment after their twin siblings from Hyundai. They’ll be receiving a variant rejig as confirmed by the brand. One variant each of Sonet and seltos will be discontinued effective from 1st May 2021. Kia has directed its all dealerships to stop taking the booking for these two variants.
Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.5 litre diesel automatic and 1.0-litre turbo petrol DCT automatic have been discontinued. Dealerships are no longer taking the bookings for these two variants. The HTK+ is touted as the most value for money and practical variant as gets all the major equipment.
The Kia Sonet HTK+ used to come with all the engine and gearbox options. It was available with 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with all transmission options. In terms of features, it was extensively loaded with automatic headlamps, automatic climate control, projector fog lamps, electric folding ORVMs, Arkamys 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 6 speakers, rear view camera, Android auto, and Apple carplay, 16 inch steel wheel, rear AC vents, driver’s height adjustable seat, etc.
Kia Sonet HTK+ petrol DCT variant was also available with ESP, drive modes, traction control, hill start assist. It used to retail in the price bracket of Rs 9.49-10.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
