Nacho Cornejo's Maiden Stage Win Sparks Hero MotoSports Rallye Du Maroc 2025

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has made a significant move at the Rallye Du Maroc 2025. Hero MotoSports Team Rally has shown a remarkable performance in Stage 4 of the Rally Du Maroc in Morocco, the fifth and last race of the 2025 FIM World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). The team’s professional rider Nacho Cornejo claimed his very first-ever stage victory on the Hero 450 Rally.

This maiden win underlines both his skill and the team’s performance trajectory on the global rally stage. Riding on a challenging 378 km across Erfoud comprises a fast, flowing timed section of 283 km. While there were no major dunes prevailing on the track this time. As Nacho emerged victorious in one of the rally’s most beautiful and demanding stages.

Nacho Cornejo’s Victory Breakthrough

Nacho Cornejo competed in the premier Rally GP class; he mastered the track while giving his best possible result for the team. Cornejo was able to maintain a strong and steady rhythm throughout the stage. This maiden win with Hero MotoSports marks a milestone in Nacho’s career and reflects his growing confidence aboard the Hero 450 Rally motorcycle.

Nacho dedicated the victory to the entire Hero MotoSports team, praising the mechanics, engineers, support teams, and headquarters staff for their continuous support as he adapted to the bike. With this win, Nacho also climbed up to the 5th position in the overall race standings.

Strong Team Performances Amidst Challenges

Ross Branch, the former world champion, also bounced back with confidence and finished Stage 4 in the 7th fastest time. Despite a couple of navigation slips and rain during the stage, Ross showcased his trademark resilience and steady pace, proving crucial for the team’s momentum heading into the final stages of the championship.

On the other hand, Austrian rider Tobias Ebster made his consistency through the season. He finished the stage in the 13th position and 6th in the Rally2 category. Tobias faced tricky navigation early in the stage but recovered well after a brief detour, riding alongside teammate Ross for much of the stretch. This might improve his standings across both leaderboards.

At Rally Du Maroc Stage 4, Nacho Cornejo improved his overall standing to 5th place in the competition, while Tobias Ebster climbed to 11th overall and 4th in the Rally2 racing category. Moreover, the reigning world champion continues his fight from 25th in the general classification.

Speaking about his first-ever win at Rally Du Maroc, Nacho Cornejo said, “I am really happy with how today went. It was a very solid day overall. I was able to grab my first stage win since joining Hero MotoSports, and this result is very special.” He later added, “I want to dedicate this win to everyone in the team. To the mechanics, technicians, engineers, managers, physio, helpers, and all those who were behind in developing this beautiful machine.”

The Final Stage

Every rider is now gearing up for the final stage 5 coming this Friday. We will see competitors take on a 311 km loop around Erfoud that features a 216 km timed section. This final stage will be pivotal in determining the championship rankings before attention shifts to the iconic Dakar Rally 2026.
