Bajaj has kept on marking its dominance in the market with the launch of the well-known Pulsar line from time to time. After its long journey of new additions and updates, Bajaj is all ready to launch its Pulsar 400, the biggest and most anticipated addition in the lineup. The scheduled date for the same is May 3rd, 2024.
Sportiest Pulsar Ever
Recently we have seen that Bajaj has been launching new teasers for Pulsar 400, giving the buyers and enthusiasts new updates on what to expect from the bike. No, the recently launched teaser has hinted at the two new colour options in which one can avail their Pulsar 400. The bike in the teaser was featuring a dual-tone finish with White and Red variants. From the teaser, we can say that the front section bears resemblance to the Pulsar N range.
Key Features and Technological Advancements
The standout features of Pulsar 400 are its LED projector headlamp with DRL, compact visor, sculpted fuel tank, engine cowl, sporty graphics, sharp body panelling, compact exhaust, split seats, split grab rails, short tail section, and rear tire hugger. Moreover, a fully digital instrument console is something which will help the user to access calls, SMS, music, and turn-by-turn navigation, along with pairing their smartphones. Apart from that, other important features in the digital console include getting information like gear position indicator, real-time fuel economy, average fuel economy, and distance to empty.
Pulsar 400 Engine and Specifications
It is expected that Pulsar 400 will be powered by the 373cc, single-cylinder engine used in the Dominar 400, delivering 40 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. This engine can also be seen in KTM bikes like 390 Adventure and RC 390. Furthermore, the bike is expected to feature advanced features like ABS ride modes and traction control system.
Hardware and Pricing
The Pulsar 400 will be equipped with USD forks at the front with a golden finish, complemented by a Nitrox monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking system is ensured by disc brakes integrated with dual-channel ABS at both ends, while 17-inch wheels fitted with tubeless tires provide stability and control.

In terms of pricing, featuring shared components from existing modelswill result in Bajaj to offer the Pulsar 400 at a competitive price point. Industry Experts anticipate a launch price of around Rs 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom), with the possibility of a special limited-period offer bringing the price below Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upon its debut, the Pulsar 400 will rival for supremacy against well-known rivals such as the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440, TVS Apache RR310, and BMW G310R, in the 400cc segment.
