Jeep Compass to get electric option:
Stellantis' STLA Medium platform, introduced in July last year, takes center stage in the evolution of the Jeep Compass. The platform is engineered with electrification at its core, providing flexibility for both front-wheel-drive and 4WD configurations. Offering a range of battery sizes, including an impressive 98kWh variant, the all-new Compass Electric is assured to deliver a range of over 700 km, marking a significant leap in the electric vehicle landscape.
New Jeep Compass EV: battery, range, platform:
The STLA Medium platform boasts a 400-Volt electric architecture, consuming less than 14kWh per 100km. Charging efficiency is a notable feature, with a 20-80 percent charge achievable in just 27 minutes, equating to a rapid rate of 2.4kWh per minute. The platform supports electric motors ranging from 218hp to 388hp, promising an exhilarating driving experience.
Alongside the electric powertrain, the next-gen Jeep Compass is anticipated to offer turbo-petrol and diesel engine options, though the specific units are yet to be confirmed by the automaker.
Stellantis STLA platform for next-gen Citroens in India:

Beyond the Jeep brand, Stellantis' sister brand, Citroen, is also expected to leverage the STLA Medium platform for its next-generation models. The modular nature of the platform allows for varying lengths and wheelbases, providing a foundation for a diverse range of vehicles in the C- and D-segments. This strategic move aims to consolidate synergies and also streamline the production for both brands in the Indian market.
